Happy birthday...

You shall go out with joy and be led forth in peace. The mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Isaiah 55:12

I miss you.

Pit Bullshit

A little bit ago I was in my apartment when I heard a woman screaming bloody murder outside the house. I went to the window and didn't see anything other than a man running with a 2x4 so I ran downstairs without shoes, without a phone and had absolutely no idea what I would do once I got down there. A pit bull had nabbed a neighborhood cat and was ripping him to shreds. The man with the loaded wood was beating the dog pretty fiercely but that dog couldn't care less, it was going to town on that cat. Gary, the cat, eventually got free and ran into our neighbors backyard where it hid under a bush. The woman and dog were instructed to wait until Animal Control and the SPCA got there which she did. In all fairness to her, the dog was on a leash and she was doing everything she could to get that dog away from the cat, but that dog was obviously hungry for pus... well, you get the idea.

Animal Control came and questioned the woman and **poof** they were allowed to go. Um, hello?? The dog has no self control and honestly, that could have been a child. SPCA came but the cat ran away so we were pretty sure it would either find a nice place to die or lick his wounds and come home. He eventually found his way back to Brantford. He has been seen roaming the neighborhood which I think is insane, but whatever.

Today I see this article online:

JACKSON, Miss. — Jackson police are investigating the mauling death of a 3-year-old boy by a pit bull. The child died Tuesday night from the attack by the chained animal in south Jackson, police said. The boy, whom police are not identifying, was taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center where he died. No one else was injured. The dog, which was shot when it attacked animal control officers, survived and will be evaluated, Sgt. Jeffery Scott, a police spokesman, said.

It will be evaluated??? Are you kidding? KILL IT! It is bad enough to watch a cat being mauled by a pit bull, but a child getting mauled and killed? There isn't a 2x4 big enough.

No. 1 movie that makes me cry...
