Ok, so I found an interesting site all about WNY Heritage.

"The mission of the Western New York Heritage Press is to research, document, preserve and interpret all aspects of the heritage of the eight Western New York counties and to promote awareness of this heritage through the publication and dissemination of original research in Western New York Heritage Magazine and other media."
