For those of you interested, Musicalfare Theatre has been generous enough to donate its theatre for Marc, Lou and I to do a benefit performance of Tick, Tick... Boom! Here are the details:

MUSICALFARE THEATRE PRESENTS:
BENEFIT PERFORMANCE OFTICK, TICK…BOOM!

DATE/TIME: Monday, March 12 at 7:00pm
TICKET PRICE: $45 (all tickets)

On Monday, March 12th at 7:00pm, MusicalFare Theatre will be hosting a benefit performance of their current production of Jonathan Larson’s TICK, TICK…BOOM! The evening’s proceeds benefits the Niagara University Theatre Scholarship Fund, in memory of Tim Ward (professor) and Julie Burdick (program graduate) who both passed away this past season. Both Mr. Ward and Ms. Burdick each played important roles in the lives of the three cast members of TICK, TICK…BOOM! (Louis Colaiacovo, Michele Marie Roberts and Marc Sacco) as teachers, mentors, fellow performers and friends.

“MusicalFare is happy to be able to offer this production as a way to honor two extraordinary people who affected not only the lives of the TICK, TICK…BOOM! cast, but the Western New York theatre community and its patrons, as well,” stated Randall Kramer, MusicalFare Artistic/Executive Director. “The NU Theatre Scholarship Fund is a worthy recipient of the evening’s proceeds as it will serve to encourage and support future performers in memory of these two much-loved individuals.”

TICK, TICK…BOOM! is Jonathan Larson’s (the creator of RENT) autobiographical look at the courage it takes to follow your dreams. Set in 1990, the production is filled with appealing melodies and a unique and upbeat blend of pop and musical theatre styles. All audiences will relate to this uplifting tale of holding onto your dreams through life’s most difficult challenges.

The production is Directed by Randall Kramer, Choreographed by Kathy Weese and Music Directed by Michael G. Hake.

Tickets are available by calling the box office at (716) 839-8540.

10,000 Miles by Mary Chapin Carpenter
for Julie and Tim

Fare thee well
My own true love
Farewell for a while
I'm going away
But I'll be back
Though I go 10,000 miles

10,000 miles
My own true love
10,000 miles or more
The rocks may melt
And the seas may burn
If I should not return

Oh don't you see
That lonesome dove
Sitting on an ivy tree
She's weeping for
Her own true love
As I shall weep for mine

Oh come ye back
My own true love
And stay a while with me
If I had a friend
On this earth
You've been a friend to me.
